The president of RMEIM, Prof Anastasia Zabaniotou, will represent RMEIM
at the UfM Higher Education Stakeholder’s Meeting,
which the Union for the Mediterranean organizes on March 17 March, from 09:30 to 14:30,
at Casa Mediterráneo, Alicante, Spain
and will speak in Session 2 ''Looking at the future: Education for Sustainable Development, Social inclusion and gender, Fundamental academic values”,
This meeting aims at discussing the results of the Public Consultation launched for parties interested in bringing forward cooperation in the field of higher education in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
This is the first time ever that Ministers of Higher Education decide to meet under the banner of the Union for the Mediterranean, and it is a prime opportunity for giving synthetic suggestions on the fields where regional cooperation should lead us and where we can have added value.
This has important implications in terms of the sustainability and inclusivity of our shared sea, as we know that education is at the heart of its future and a powerful tool for impacting it.
