Forum in Tirana

FORUM on « Academic Cooperation for Peace and Welfare in the Mediterranean & Black Sea region », successfully organised by BSUN / RMEI/CUM, in Tirana on May16-19

Statements on the Rio+20 meeting have been adopted by the responsibles of the three networks.

Thanks to the warm welcome of the Polytechnic University of Tirana and to the impeccable organization and timing, the Forum was a great success. It permitted to join representatives from various countries belonging to both BSUN and RMEI networks (the program can be downloaded from rmei.info/Programme.pdf ).

The animation of these days was made by the Secretary General of the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN), Professor Eden Mamut (Ovidius University, Constanta, Romania), who pointed out a series of questions concerning higher education institutions, teachers, students, society, at all levels from the local to the global one (e.g. presenting an exemplary process of local education in one’s institution, then nationally and at last globally). This highly participatory approach with the concern of the round table and of the audience was very lively and rich.
