To become a full member or associate member, the candidate organisation should send a written application to the President of the RMEI, including sufficient information on the organisation to give an idea of its potential contribution to the activities of the network and to justify its candidacy.

In particular, the candidate organisation should include a description of its higher education activities and its academic staff, international relations, research and support activities for industry and start-ups (technology transfer organisations, business hatcheries and incubators, etc.).

Each application should be sponsored by at least two current active members of the RMEI, who will submit an assessment report. This report will be examined by the Board of Administration which will propose membership to the General Assembly, whose vote will decide the outcome of the candidacy.
